Hello and welcome to my practice! I'm so glad you're here.
Hi! I’m Silvia Croitoru and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist who absolutely loves what I do. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working within Ontario’s major children’s treatment centres, supporting preschoolers and school-aged kids with a wide variety of abilities. Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely within multidisciplinary teams alongside occupational therapists (OTs) and physiotherapists (PTs) to provide holistic care for children. I also love giving back to my profession and have served as a clinical educator, mentoring and guiding university students through their own clinical training.
My clinical interests focus on early language development, motor speech disorders, and stuttering. As a clinician who practices in English and also speaks Romanian, I have a deep appreciation for multicultural backgrounds and a special interest in bilingual early language development.
To me, speech therapy is so much more than just working on sounds—it’s about connection. I pride myself on being kind, supportive and fun, creating a playful space where your child feels completely safe to learn, explore and try new things. Building a joyful rapport with your child is always my very first priority.
My Approach: You Are the Expert on Your Child. I strongly believe that real, lasting progress happens when we work as a team. You know your child best, which is why parent coaching is at the very heart of my practice. I don't just work with your child in our sessions; I partner closely with you to share practical, realistic strategies that fit naturally into your family's daily routines. Together, we make communication support an integral, stress-free part of your everyday life.
Outside the Clinic: When I’m not in the clinic, I’m usually enjoying life here in Cambridge. I love relaxing with a book, practicing yoga, or exploring local trails with my husband, our little one and our golden retriever.
